Frequently Asked Questions About Our Menorca Boat Tours
We offer a range of private boat tours and charters in Menorca designed to help you explore the island’s most hidden coves, enjoy family-friendly tours, and discover the best spots for snorkeling and scenic coastal adventures. If you still have doubts, contact us for further assistance.
How much do your boat tours cost?
Our half-day tours start at €490 and the full-day tours at €1050. Visit our Tours Page for details.
How many people can join the boat tour?
Our boat is licensed for a maximum of 5 guests, plus the skipper. This includes both adults and children. For everyone’s comfort and safety, we do not exceed this limit.
Can we choose our route and go ashore?
Tell Carlos which coves you would like to see and how much time you want to spend swimming or relaxing. He will suggest a route that fits the conditions and the time available. Going ashore depends on the cove, the sea and the people in your group, so beach landings cannot be guaranteed. Carlos recommends enjoying a few coves at a relaxed pace rather than rushing to visit as many as possible.
Is the experience private or shared with others?
All our tours are 100% private. The boat will be reserved exclusively for your group—no other guests on board.
Can children and babies join the trip?
Families are welcome. Please contact us before booking if you will be bringing a baby or young child, so we can discuss the trip and lifejacket requirements. Madlin carries a maximum of five passengers, plus the skipper. Every adult, child and baby counts towards that limit.
Which Boat Tour Should I Choose?
We offer several Menorca boat tours, including half-day, full-day, and sunset options. If you’d like a quick taste of the island’s beauty, the half-day tour is ideal. For a more in-depth exploration, the full-day charter lets you visit multiple coves and enjoy snorkeling at different spots. The sunset cruise is perfect if you’re seeking a romantic evening or a stunning photo opportunity.
Where Do the Tours Depart From in Menorca?
Our tours depart from Cala Galdana, a beautiful and well-connected marina on Menorca’s south coast.
It’s the perfect starting point, located right in the heart of the island’s most stunning beaches and coves, including Macarella, Turqueta, Trebalúger, and more.
If you’re staying elsewhere, feel free to contact us—we’ll help you coordinate the best way to reach the marina, or explore possible alternatives if needed.
Are Pets Allowed Onboard?
Yes, in most cases, pets are welcome as part of the family. Please inform us beforehand so we can prepare accordingly. Some routes or coves may have specific regulations, but we’ll guide you to the best options for a pet-friendly experience.
What Are the Best Months for a Boat Tour in Menorca?
Anytime! While the high season (April to September) offers the warmest weather, but also more crowds. The Low season (October – March) offers an incredible view of the coves, often empty, only for you. If you prefer a quieter experience, May and October can be excellent months with milder temperatures and fewer tourists. Our private boat tours run all year round, weather permitting, so you can pick your ideal dates.
Can I Combine Multiple Tours or Create a Custom Experience?
Absolutely. Our charter boat in Menorca service is flexible. If you want to split your day into a half-day tour, followed by a sunset cruise, or if you have special requests, just let us know. We’re happy to craft a custom Menorca day trip that matches your interests.
How do we board, and what should guests with reduced mobility know?
We meet at the small marina in Cala Galdana. Because Madlin cannot enter the shallow marina, we take you out in a tender and transfer onto the sailing boat via its stern platform. After a swim, you climb back on board using a swimming-pool-style ladder. If anyone in your group has reduced mobility or finds climbing difficult, contact us before booking to discuss whether the trip is suitable.
Can I Request Extra Time for Snorkeling or Swimming?
Yes, our private boat tours are flexible. Simply let your skipper know if you’d like more time at a particular spot to swim or snorkel. We aim to give you a personalized experience, so don’t hesitate to ask for extra time enjoying Menorca’s crystal-clear waters.
Is there shade, a toilet and a private place to change on board?
Madlin has a sun canopy over the seating area at the back of the boat, seating inside the cabin, and two sunbathing areas at the bow. There is a toilet and a private space to change into or out of your swimwear.
How can I get to Cala Galdana if I’m not staying there?
You can reach Cala Galdana by car or public bus.
Driving is the fastest option, but parking is limited, especially in high season—so we recommend arriving early to find a spot.
Alternatively, there are direct bus connections from several towns on the island:
L51 from Maó (Mahón)
L52 from Ciutadella
L53 from Ferreries
Let us know where you’re staying, and we’ll be happy to suggest the best option for getting here on time.
What if the weather is bad?
Carlos compares professional and official forecasts with his observations on the south coast. The decision takes account of conditions along the route, not only the sheltered water inside Cala Galdana. In summer, he has seen south-easterly winds combined with the midday breeze worsen the sea quickly, so a departure may need to be cancelled even after a calm start to the day.
If the sea conditions are unsafe, we’ll reschedule your trip if it’s possible or offer a full refund. Your safety comes first.
Can I cancel my booking?
You can cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure and receive a full refund.
